Alaffia’s Authentic African Black Soap is likened to the home remedies of Togolese mamans. This all in one soap is made from a centuries-old ​recipe of handcrafted fair trade and unrefined shea butter and Orangutan-safe West African ​palm oil†. Saponification is reached by adding potash to the hot oils, ​ then cooking it for six hours. The last step is curing the soap in the sun ​for three weeks, resulting in a gentle and effective soap that cleanses, clarifies and softens skin. Suitable for any skin type, even the most sensitive. Sulfate-free.

 

Ingredients: 

Ocimum canum (African Mint) Aqueous Extract, Saponified Butyrospermum parkii (Shea) Butter* and Elaeis guineensis (Palm Kernel) Oil, Lauryl Glucoside.

Instructions:

Face Cleanser: Gently massage over skin. Rinse clean and pat dry. Follow with the Alaffia face cream of your choice.Body Wash: Apply generously, working into a rich lather. Rinse thoroughly. Intensely moisturizing, this unrefined shea butter nourishes and softens skin with fatty acids, vitamins and minerals. Naturally scented with delectable passion fruit. Cruelty-free, and formulated without sulfates, parabens, phthalates, mineral oil, artificial color or synthetic fragrance.

Instructions:
